Xinyang, August 29, 2024 — Lou Yangsheng, Secretary of the Henan Provincial Party Committee,visited HENAN KORTRONG POWER 

to review progress in the province's renewable energy sector.

Vice Governor Song Zhenghui accompanied the delegation.


During a two-day inspection (August 28-29) focused on industrial development, innovation ecosystems, 

and higher education reform, Secretary Lou assessed multiple initiatives in Xinyang.


At the Yudongnan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, he noted the accelerated rollout of flagship projects 

in advanced equipment manufacturing, next-gen IT, and healthcare. 'To drive high-quality growth, we must adopt 

a global outlook, integrate innovation resources, and accelerate industrial cluster development,' he stated, urging 

targeted efforts to attract R&D-intensive industry leaders with end-to-end product capabilities.


Industry-Academia Synergy


At Xinyang Normal University's Engineering School, Secretary Lou toured smart labs and industry collaboration hubs, 

stressing the need for 'institutional innovation to align academic research with industrial demand.' He later visited 

Mingyang Green Energy Equipment Industrial Park and Zhuhai Kortrong Energy Storage Technology Co.,Ltd, 

urging firms to leverage Henan's manufacturing infrastructure and market scale to pioneer energy storage solutions 

for low-carbon transitions.


Eco-Driven Growth


In Xinyang's Shihe District, Secretary Lou explored the tea cultural heritage at Wenxin Tea Village, where post-rain tea 

plantations stretched across lush, painterly landscapes. He highlighted the region's ecological edge: 'Green development 

isn't optional – it's our competitive advantage. We'll scale the 'dual-tea' industry [tea and oil-tea camellia] through tech-enabled 

sustainable practices.'


Breaking Ground


At Dabie Mountain Laboratory's Tea Biology Center, researchers were tasked with 'pursuing breakthrough innovations while 

bridging academia and industry.' Secretary Lou emphasized cross-sector collaboration to 'cultivate emerging industries and 

next-gen productivity models.' The tour concluded at Xinyang Wanhua's formaldehyde-free materials complex, where he 

advocated for 'agile, eco-conscious production systems to meet evolving market needs.'
