On October 29, 2024, the Zhuhai Bureau of Science and Technology Innovation issued the "Notice on the Recognition of 2024 Zhuhai Key Laboratories and New R&D Institutions." Following a thorough review and on-site evaluation, KORTRONG Energy Storage successfully obtained recognition as a 2024 Zhuhai Key Laboratory in the enterprise category. The approved laboratory name is Zhuhai Full-Stack Electrochemical Energy Storage Key Laboratory.

The Zhuhai Key Laboratory serves as an important base for conducting high-level basic and applied research, attracting and cultivating outstanding scientific talent, facilitating high-level academic exchanges, equipping advanced research facilities, and generating high-quality research outcomes in Zhuhai. This year, a total of 68 laboratories, including 51 in the “Enterprise” category, were recognized as Zhuhai Key Laboratories.

The laboratory is located in Building 3 of the KORTRONG New Energy Storage Industrial Park, covering a total area of approximately 8,700 square meters. Following a model of “government guidance, collaboration with universities and research institutions, and corporate participation,” the laboratory conducts high-level R&D and applied research in energy storage technologies, aiming to establish an internationally competitive research team in electrochemical energy storage.

The laboratory enables research and experimentation across all key stages of full-stack electrochemical energy storage technology. This includes dedicated facilities such as a comprehensive materials lab, electrolyte lab, chemistry lab, physics lab, electrical performance lab, high and low temperature lab, electrical lab, power lab, fire safety & BMS lab, and EMC lab, providing strong technical support for the development of energy storage products.
