A large-scale fire safety exercise was successfully held at Kortrong Industrial Park on March 6, involving employees from
Kortrong Group and its subsidiaries, including Kortrong Dynamic Power Technology Co., Ltd. and Kortrong AIDC Technology Co., Ltd.
The drill, designed to enhance emergency preparedness, simulated a full scenario response to fire hazards, focused on testing multi-agency coordination and updating fire safety protocols for energy storage facilities, aligning with China's enhanced industrial safety initiatives.
The exercise began with the activation of fire alarms, prompting employees to swiftly evacuate the premises. Staff members adhered to safety protocols by crouching
low to avoid simulated smoke and proceeding along marked escape routes to designated assembly points. The evacuation, monitored by safety officers, was completed
within 5 mins, demonstrating efficient coordination.
Personnel from Jinding Fire and Rescue Station conducted live demonstrations of fire-extinguishing equipment, including handheld extinguishers and hose reels.
Participants practiced using the tools under professional guidance, with an emphasis on the PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) for extinguisher operation.
The drill tested interdepartmental coordination, focusing on:
Early hazard detection and alarm systems;
Emergency response team mobilization;
First-aid procedures for injured personnel.
Mr. Xie, Chief Coordinator of the exercise, underscored the importance of fire safety in his closing remarks: "Maintaining vigilance and regular drills are critical to
safeguarding lives and operational continuity. This exercise reflects our commitment to building a culture of preparedness across all Kortrong facilities."
The event concluded with formal recognition of Jinding Fire and Rescue Station's contributions.
Their expertise in designing realistic scenarios and post-drill evaluations was hailed as instrumental in achieving the exercise's objectives.
