Guangdong's Department of Industry and Information Technology has released its 2026 Advanced Smart Factory list, recognizing Kortrong Energy Storage's full-stack, self-built 12GWh+ digital smart factory — a provincial-level validation of the company's smart manufacturing capabilities and digital factory achievements.

The evaluation follows the Interim Measures for the Gradient Cultivation of Smart Factories issued by six ministries including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, assessing automated production lines, industrial software integration, data-driven production, intelligent quality inspection, and flexible manufacturing. On the automated production line, robotic arms handle all critical PACK assembly processes, with automated torque tools tightening to preset values and modular pallets ensuring precise positioning and conveyance. AGV unmanned vehicles and automated warehousing systems manage material handling end-to-end — from raw material receiving and line-side replenishment to finished goods dispatch — maintaining consistent quality throughout.

The MES system oversees scheduling, monitoring, quality data collection, and anomaly detection. Integrated with WMS and ERP, it coordinates production planning, material delivery, and line cadence in real time. The factory operates 40 critical quality checkpoints and 21 precision test procedures, enabling process parameters to be validated and adjusted during production.

Kortrong's digital smart factory optimizes line layouts around a cellular production model, dynamically adjusting production plans and process coordination to achieve efficient mixed-line production. Through tooling changes and parameter recall, the factory can simultaneously accommodate utility-scale storage, C&I storage, and customized overseas products. Monthly peak delivery capacity at the Zhuhai headquarters reaches 500 MWh, ensuring agile response across all scenarios and standards.
