It rapidly and precisely mitigates the uncertainty and anti-peaking effects of wind and solar generation, with an estimated 1 million frequency regulation events and 300 peak shaving events annually. The project will effectively serve Shanxi’s grid peak shaving and frequency regulation markets, facilitate renewable energy grid integration, and enhance grid peaking capacity and power quality. It also plays a significant role in securing stable power supply for surrounding areas, alleviating grid peaking and frequency regulation pressures, and supporting regional industrial growth.
